Services we provide
- Individual care programmes with you in mind
- We bring out the best in those in our care.
- And treat everyone as an individual.
Specialist care for general nursing and dementia
While our staff are carefully chosen for their caring capabilities, experience and qualifications, they are equally selected on the basis of their empathy, understanding and ability to bring out the best in those in their care. With an emphasis on physical and mental stimulation, it is the remit of our staff to encourage residents to use their motor and mental skills at every opportunity – through conversation, external stimuli, and the development of close and rewarding personal relationships.
Nursing Care
Our Nursing Care provides residents with support for their health and well being alongside assistance with personal care. This can be a great relief for families and residents who are finding it challenging to live independently due to their specific care needs.
Our home has selected staff including highly qualified Nurses on duty 24 hours per day who do their utmost in supporting residents. Our staff are fully trained and can assist residents with a variety of Nursing needs whilst continuing to promote independence wherever possible.
Dementia Nursing Care
Dementia Nursing Care is designed to support residents who are living with dementia and have complex health needs that require care and support from our qualified Nurse team and staff.
The service provides a safe environment that assists, cares and supports individuals with dementia and other complex needs, whilst also attempting to maintain the individual’s skills and abilities.
Short Term Respite Care
Caring independently for a loved one can be challenging at times and we understand that it is important to take regular breaks to recoup. We offer short term stays to support carers and families, allowing them time to have a break and some well-deserved rest and recuperation.
We offer both short and long stays, which can boost the support network of someone who is recovering from an accident or following a hospital stay and allow them to recuperate. You may want your loved one to experience living at our home for a short while before deciding to make the move more permanent. We are happy to discuss your needs at any point and will do all we can to ensure loved ones are happy and comfortable.
End of Life Care
We understand that most people wish to spend their last days at home, surrounded by their memories and special possessions. Here at Ainsdale Court, our care team who are highly trained and experienced in End-of-Life care will be with you 24 hours a day, meeting your needs in a caring and compassionate way and treating you with utmost respect and dignity at all times.
Together with you and your family we will put together a care plan to ensure that your wishes and preferences are met. It's not just practical support that we will offer; we recognise that this is a difficult time for family and close friends and look to support them during this time, reassuring them and liaising with them every step of the way. We also work closely with our linked GP to provide a holistic care package, controlling pain and managing your wellbeing. Our support focuses on:
- Relief from physical symptoms
- Psychological and emotional support
- Practical support and advice from our caring staff
- Understanding residents wishes in advance
- Caring for the family
Providing individual care programmes
One of our principal values is to treat each of our valued residents as an individual, responding to their unique needs and ensuring that their level of care matches their personal requirements. This is particularly important for those experiencing dementia and the physical effects of increasing age. At Ainsdale Court, we pride ourselves on creating individual care programmes designed to develop, sustain and, wherever possible, improve both mental and motor skills.
Working together with you, we can develop an individual care programme based on the information you provide us. From this, we can custom design a care programme that can involve:
- Physical exercise
- Conversation and communications skills
- Memory stimulation
- Individual activities
- Group involvement and activities
- Stimulus material
There is a dedicated activity coordinator assigned to encouraging residents to be active and involved in the home community.
